Salaries have held broadly steady year-on-year compared to our 2025 survey results, but with 73% having received a pay rise within the last year, salary expectations are recalibrating upward.
Employers should conduct regular benchmarking against current market rates - not just last year’s offer norms - and be prepared to have transparent conversations about pay. Candidates who feel undervalued are actively watching the market, and with low base salary ranking as the second most common reason professionals would leave their current company, the link between perceived underpayment and active attrition risk is direct.
